Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)
Wyanga proudly delivers culturally safe, entry-level aged care support through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP). This program is designed to help Aboriginal Elders live independently, stay safe in their homes, and remain connected to community, culture, and country.
Our CHSP services focus on providing practical support in ways that respect the values, preferences, and unique needs of each individual. As the government prepares to transition CHSP to the new Support at Home program in 2027, Wyanga remains committed to walking alongside our clients—ensuring you feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way.

Here’s how Wyanga supports our Elders under CHSP:
Individual Social Support
This service helps Elders stay socially connected and engaged in their community.
Our support includes:
- Friendly home visits
- Accompanied outings for shopping, banking, or social activities
- One-on-one cultural and community support
- Assistance with attending events or appointments
Transport
We provide transport to help Elders get to essential destinations safely and comfortably. This includes:
- Trips to and from medical appointments
- Transport to Wyanga programs and activities
- Assistance with grocery shopping or errands
- Support for social and community outings
